1Why have my toilets stopped refilling?
There could be a number of reasons why: The pump has run out of water, the pump is not receiving power, the pump has failed, the toilet filling valve is blocked.
2Why is my pump is continuously running?
You could have a faulty toilet filling valve which is failing to close; a leak on an outside tap or pipe; a leaking fitting on the pump; a fault with the pump/pump controller.
3Why does my pump keep turning on and off intermittently?
A toilet filling valve may be flowing very slowly; there may be a leak somewhere on a pipe or fitting; a tap may be dripping; a toilet flush seal may be leaking causing the cistern to keep refilling.
4Why is my rainwater dirty and smelly?
Rainwater should only be collected off a roof- dirt from the roof and gutters could be a reason but this is rare. It is usually caused by water entering the tank through the tank overflow whether than be an underground soakaway or a combined storm and foul drain.
5Why has my pump stopped working?
The pump has run out of water; the pump is not receiving power; the pump has failed.
6Why is my tank constantly filling with mains water?
This could be a faulty float switch in the underground tank or a faulty solenoid failing to close. It could be that mains water isn’t reaching the tank and is going elsewhere.

1Why do I get a foul smell?
Your tank may not be vented sufficiently; your system may not be treating the waste effectively; your water traps may have dried up particularly shower trays which are used infrequently.
2Why do I have a red light on my controller panel?
Your system has gone into fault. The screen will display the fault that has occurred.
3Do I have to use Ecover products with my treatment system?
You don’t have to use Ecover products, you just need to be sensible with the amount and type of cleaning products you use.
4Why haven’t I heard my compressor working?
There are times during a treatment cycle where your compressor doesn’t run. If you check your control panel it will display either a green light when everything is ok or a red light when there is a fault.
5Why is my compressor making more noise than usual?
Filters on your compressor may need cleaning or replacing. We recommend booking a maintenance visit to investigate this.
6How can I tell if my tank needs emptying?
You can not tell how full a tank is my simply looking inside it. You would need to take a sample from within the tank and carry out a test to determine this. If you book a maintenance with us we will advise you on how full the tank is and when it would need emptying.
